About Rachel
Rachel Thralls is a certified Nutrition & Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and has completed the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate program through Cornell. She is passionate about helping other people make themselves a priority, get fit and eat healthy food!
Rachel is also a wine education consultant for wineries and other industry organizations across Sonoma County. Her motivation is entertaining and educating key members of the trade as well as consumers while conducting classes and seminars that articulate the wonders of Sonoma County wine, food and farming.
She is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, graduating at the top of her class and studied at the International Culinary Center where she honed her food and wine pairing expertise. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area by Old World wine collectors, Rachel found a passion for wine and food early in life and credits her father for her keen palate and her mother for her exemplary culinary skills.
Prior to starting her coaching and wine consulting business, Rachel was the Director of Wine Education at Rodney Strong Wine Estates and was the food & wine writer for BevMo! and Wine.com. After receiving a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Vanderbilt, she earned her Masters of Education from Notre Dame de Namur. In her free time, Rachel loves spending time with her two children and husband, creating unique food and wine pairings, exercising and gardening.
